The Records Division operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.The Records Division processes booking paperwork on arrested persons; processes and verifies arrest warrants issued by the courts; registers sex, drug, and arson offenders; enters and verifies statistical data into the records management system; provides assistance to the public in person, via telephone or correspondence; provides clerical assistance to other local police departments; files a variety of forms, records, documents and correspondence; distributes crime reports; scans records and documents; completes written requests for information from other authorized agencies.
Copies of law enforcement reports: Reports can be requested by phone, or in person. A fee may be due at the time the report is picked up. Information is released per California State Law, Government Code section 6254(f).
Sheriff's Office Letter of Clearance for police and immigration purposes: You must have a valid government issued photo I.D. A fee of $6.00 is payable at the time of the request.
Vehicle release and storage information for stored/impounded and repossessed vehicles: You must provide a valid license plate number or vehicle identification number (VIN).
